I write this for me:
To imprint your gaze
behind the curtain of your eyes,
The sudden smile
when they notice me
I write this for me:
As arms connect
the line of a shoulder
and fade into a curl of hair,
A grey of beard
that patterns a cheek
on the kiss that I seek
I write this for me:
To remember skin loving skin
-the tremble within-
A sensation of touch
feeding my eye that adores
each hair on a torso
as it grows to the hip
I write this for me:
To endure the longing,
the touch of a hand
that stirs a harmony
within my soul,
connects with a scent
that surrounds the aura of you
I write this for me:
To echo an accent
when you’re not here
which silences my answer to mere wonder
and locks my lips to no word
I write this for me:
When your fingers strum a sound
that reaches into my burning soul
buried achingly deep,
and share the feed
I write this for me:
Because I know how infinite
your barrier always will be
