who is she
entering this house of Aphrodite?
flooding in through bars
and barricades of steel heart shaped locks
who invited you in?
explain yourself to me, stranger
trickling with her shredded cloak like a spectre from the
darkest ocean
separating your skin from my skin
floating expressionless like a phantom from the past
unseeing eyes cast into nowhere
every icicle shard of her clothing tearing another unwanted
emotion from my skin:
making our skin feel different
and I don’t know why
breathe-
breathe slowly.
rest your heart.
and just let her pass
