flooding in through bars

and barricades of steel heart shaped locks

who invited you in?

explain yourself to me, stranger

 

trickling with her shredded cloak like a spectre from the darkest ocean

separating your skin from my skin

floating expressionless like a phantom from the past

unseeing eyes cast into nowhere

every icicle shard of her clothing tearing another unwanted emotion from my skin:

making our skin feel different
